Three new tenants join Maitland
We are delighted to welcome Robert Watt, Olivia Horn and Promit Chatterjee as members of Maitland, following the successful completion of their pupillages.
Robert, Olivia and Promit have gained wide-ranging experience across Chambers’ specialisms, and each has a stellar academic record.
Robert Watt comes to the Bar after a first career as a lecturer and researcher in philosophy at the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge. He received a first-class undergraduate degree in PPE from Magdalen College, Oxford, a doctorate in philosophy from Balliol College, Oxford, a Distinction on the Graduate Diploma in Law from Oxford Brookes University, and an Outstanding grade on the Bar Course from the University of Law. He has won multiple national mooting competitions.
Olivia Horn received a first-class degree in International Relations from the London School of Economics and Political Science. She subsequently completed the Graduate Diploma in Law at City University London and the Bar Course at the Inns of Court College of Advocacy, obtaining both with Distinction.
Promit Chatterjee received degrees in law from the National University of Juridical Sciences, Kolkata, and the University of Cambridge. Prior to transferring to the Bar, Promit practised as a solicitor with leading firms in London, Singapore, and India, where he gained extensive experience in international arbitration and related litigation.
