We are pleased to see two appeals that our members are involved in this year feature in The Lawyer’s Top 10 Appeals of 2022:

On Tower UK v AP Wireless II UK

Christopher Pymont QC, with Wayne Clark and Fern Schofield (Falcon Chambers) are instructed by Thekla Fellas and Karen Mitchell of Eversheds Sutherland, and will be representing the appellant, AP Wireless II UK, for the Appeal in the Supreme Court which is listed for 1-3 February 2022.

This case will be the first Supreme Court case ruling on who is an occupier for the purposes of the Telecommunications Code. The Court of Appeal judgment can be found here.

Marcus A. Wide and Hugh Dickson (joint liquidators of Stanford International Bank) v HSBC Bank

Christopher Parker QC and James Knott (4 Stone Buildings) are instructed by Stewarts and will be representing the Appellants in this matter which was listed in the Supreme Court for 19 January 2022. The Appeal in the Supreme Court is regarding the strike-out of the Quincecare claim, following the Court of Appeal judgment which can be found here.
