On 2 March 2018 the Court of Appeal handed down judgment in the much-anticipated appeal in Property Alliance Group Ltd v The Royal Bank of Scotland Plc (heard over seven days between January and February 2018).

The Court of Appeal unanimously rejected each of PAG’s three heads of appeal against the decision of Asplin J, based on: (i) alleged mis-selling of interest rate swaps by RBS; (ii) RBS’s involvement in LIBOR misconduct; and (iii) PAG’s dealings with RBS’s GRG division.
