King’s Counsel appointment

We are delighted that Rebecca Page will be appointed to the rank of King’s Counsel in a ceremony in the spring before the Lord Chancellor. This will bring the number of King’s Counsel at Maitland to 21, working alongside 50 junior barristers.

Rebecca specialises in commercial and chancery disputes, both in litigation and arbitration. Her practice has a particular focus on company and insolvency-related matters. She is consistently celebrated by the legal directories and was named ‘Company / Insolvency Junior of the Year’ at the Chambers UK Bar Awards 2024, and in 2022 she was awarded ‘Chancery Junior of the Year’ at the Legal 500 Bar Awards. Rebecca has been described as ‘a very persuasive advocate’ with ‘a brilliant mind’ who is ‘excellent both on her feet and on paper’. She is recognised as counsel who ‘will go the extra mile for clients’ and as being ‘fantastic in court’.

All of us at Maitland warmly congratulate Rebecca.
