Charity Law Association seminar
On 27 November 2023 Ted Loveday gave a presentation to the Charity Law Association, with instructing solicitors Bates Wells’ Laura Soley and Jaqui Symcox, about the Friends of Victoria Hall case (Miller and French v (1) Charity Commission (2) London Borough of Ealing (CA/2021/0009)).
The presentation addressed the practicalities of bringing charity appeals before courts and tribunals, and the law relating to schemes made by the Charity Commission. It follows an earlier talk given by Ted at the Charity Law Association’s annual conference in October 2023 about Mermaids v Charity Commission [2023] UKFTT 563 (GRC).
