Eoin accepts instructions in all of Chambers’ core areas of practice, with a particular interest in Commercial Litigation & Arbitration, Civil Fraud, Company & Partnership, and Insolvency & Asset Recovery.
Prior to coming to the Bar, Eoin worked for BCG (Boston Consulting Group). During his time there, he gained broad commercial experience in the areas of private equity, retail banking, and healthcare.
While studying for the BVS course at City, University of London, Eoin was a Lord Mansfield Scholar, which is Lincoln’s Inn’s most prestigious award. He received a ‘Distinction’ in the BVS. This followed first-class degrees in law from University College Dublin and St John’s College, Cambridge, both of which he attended on scholarship.

Commercial Litigation & Arbitration
Commercial disputes, both domestic and international, form a significant component of Eoin’s practice.
Recent instructions include:
- Acting for a HNW individual in an LCIA arbitration concerning the ownership of an international iron foundry (led by Greg Banner KC and Darragh Connell);
- Acting for a corporate entity in an LCIA arbitration in a dispute relating to carbon credits (led by Darragh Connell);
- Al Othman Hold. Co v Al Rajhi Holdings WLL(ongoing) – acting for the defendants in a dispute concerning a corporate guarantee (led by Darragh Connell);
- Advising a US-based pharma company on prospective proceedings with a value of ~USD20M (led by James Aldridge KC);
- Acting for a HNW individual in an LMAA arbitration concerning the identity of a number of companies’ UBO (led by Alec McCluskey); and
- Acting / advising in two LCIA arbitrations concerning carbon credit option agreements.

Insolvency & Asset Recovery
Eoin is routinely instructed in both individual and corporate insolvency matters. He has acted on behalf of creditors, debtors and office-holders.
He has experience in a wide range of matters including:
- Corporate winding up and related applications (e.g., rescission applications, applications to restrain presentation or advertisement of a bankruptcy petition);
- Bankruptcy (e.g., acting for both debtors and creditors, advising and appearing in applications relating to disputed debts);
- Administration (including applications for the extension of administration orders, and applications relating to the lifting of the statutory stay on proceedings against the company in administration); and
- Possession proceedings relating to insolvency events.

Cryptoassets
Eoin has been involved in advising clients in a range of crypto-related disputes, including in relation to asset-recovery and related applications.
Highlights include:
- D’Aloia v. Persons Unknown & Others [2024] EWHC 2342 (Ch) – acted for the successful defendant, Bitkub, a Thai-based exchange, in cryptocurrency fraud proceedings (led by Darragh Connell). This decision found that USD Tether constitutes property for the purposes of English law. It was the first time that this has been decided following a full trial in the English High Court;
- Acting for Binance in an ongoing dispute with a former user of the Binance platform.
