Carolyn has a Chancery practice, with a specific emphasis on banking, insolvency, and property law. Within the banking field she has a specialist’s knowledge of mortgages, guarantees, financial services, derivatives and hedge funds, as well as consumer credit.
This she originally gained in her earlier successful career as an in-house banking lawyer - first as Assistant Legal Advisor at Williams & Glyn’s Bank plc, and then Legal Advisor at Société Générale (London) - advising on all aspects of domestic and international banking. She has also lectured on banking, credit and security law.
