Sir William Blackburne is a retired Chancery High Court Judge who accepts appointments as an Arbitrator.
He was called to the Bar in 1966 and took Silk in 1984 where he practised from 13 Old Square (now Maitland Chambers). He was appointed to the High Court, Chancery Division in 1993 retiring in 2009 but still sits as a Judge of the High Court on a part-time basis.
Whilst at the Bar he undertook a wide range of commercial chancery disputes and has particular expertise in areas such as shareholder disputes and company actions, trusts, partnership and real estate.
