Sir Nicholas Patten retired from the Court of Appeal in 2020 and now accepts appointments as an Arbitrator. He was called to the Bar in 1974 and was appointed Queen’s Counsel in 1988.
He was Chairman of the Chancery Bar Association from 1997 until 1999. He practiced from 9 Old Square (now Maitland Chambers) until his appointment as a High Court Judge in 2000. He was appointed a Lord Justice of Appeal in 2009.
